Sunbury Plantation Great House
St. Philip · the east coast
Sunbury Plantation Great House dates back to the 1600’s and today is beautifully maintained as one of the oldest plantation homes in the region, filled with majestic furniture and intriguing antiques including an over 270-year old mahogany dining table. In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s the Barbados Railway included a stop at Sunbury Plantation, one of four train stations in the parish of St. Philip. We invite you to come and have your wedding at Sunbury which could include your marriage ceremony in the multitude of spectacular settings all including the tropical ambiance of Sunbury. You can then continue with your wedding reception in a range of stunning spaces within the property, These include the expansive garden area, the old Bell House or the covered Pavilion. There is also a rare opportunity to host a fine dining experience in the Great House around the 270 year old, 30 seater, historic mahogany table.
Where it is
St. Philip is where the east coast turns rugged — Crane Beach and Bottom Bay are here, pink sand backed by cliffs, with real Atlantic swell. Maps may call this the south-east; Barbados calls it east.
Address: Sunbury, Saint Philip Barbados
